Moving On

We are now in Vancouver for three days/nights. I am sitting in my aunt's lovely home while Mom and Papa make dinner and Sofi and Lucy are relaxing. We have left the Cultus Lake/Chilliwack area and will go to White Rock on Sunday night. Then, Monday back to Cultus to gather our belongings and then off to Langley! With 'School' starting on Tuesday, all of a sudden it seems like we have so little time left in Canada. It's gone really slowly, yet very quickly at the same time... In the last few days at the blueberry farm I got up early and stayed up late to take some great shots! Here are a few!

And on the 24th we held a surprise party for Papa's 40th Birthday. Here are a few snapshots from that. Papa was really surprised!!!! Sofi and I made the cakes. I made a cheesecake and Sofi made a chocolate torte. It was great! We were able to see some people that we hadn't seen in a while and we got to meet Papa's "gang" of friends from work. :D Well, it looks like it's dinner time now so I should go and help ;)

Update from this week :)

HELLO! Well, this week has been quite busy. We finally re-booked our flights. We are now officially leave Sept. 11th. We fly through Chicago, but we don't have any time to go to the city. Then we fly to Frankfurt, and then to Zurich. We stay in Switzerland for as little time as it takes to get a car, insurance, and plan our route to Russia. We stay in Russia until *most likely* mid-end November. We will drive back to Switzerland and stay there until we fly home on December 11th. Wow! This week we've done some relaxing, some finding internet, some picnicing at the lake, some mini-golfing (our almost-cousin James won a pass for another minigolfing time!) We went down to the States yesterday and all got some clothes that are Russia worthy. And so now we are almost all set. We'll go through all our clothing later in the week and see what we all still need. Well, it's almost brunch time so I gotta go!

Out in the middle of nowhere...er. Chilliwack

Well hello again! I am out near Chilliwack close to Cultus Lake. It's hot and dry here. We had a thunderstorm last night though! Well, we have had a change of plans. We had an issue with our visas to Russia. They won't get here until the 28th of August. So we had to change our flights, and our plans. We are now leaving September 11th, 2013. *Sigh* It is later than we all wanted/hoped/expected so it's quite devastating. (ok, maybe that was a little dramatic) But we are going to stay here for 2 weeks probably, then go and stay with MORE FRIENDS in Langley. We are living on a blueberry farm and it's nice and relaxing. But I still can't wait to get back to civilization ;) Well, that's all for now!

Travel Info Update

Well, as everything was going so well, something goes wrong. Our visas to Russia won't be done until the 26th. They have our Canadian passports, we fly on the 20th. So, we tried to apply for Swiss passports because the 3 of us girls have Swiss Citizenship. Well, you have to have a valid Canadian passport to do that. So! We have to change our flights, which will probably mean not going through Chicago. We will probably leave at the very end of August or beginning of September but we don't know for sure yet. The positive side is that there are tons of Harvest festivals all over Europe come September. It will be very nice! But I really hope that we can get to Russia in time to see all the fountains before they are covered over for Winter :D

August

Well, It's August now. I haven't written for a little while because we have been so busy. We've been going for dinners and seeing people and getting things organized. We leave Vancouver Island tomorrow! But here are some pictures from the past few days events.
